A pretty country track wanders gently upwards through ancient olive groves until it reaches Villa Danae, which enjoys breathtaking views over the coastline from Kolimbari in the west to the Akrotiri peninsular in the east.

Although modern, and of good size, Danae has a decidedly rural, well-established feel; its earth and ochre colours letting it blend into the Cretan countryside. Inside, the same preference for natural textures and colours, with wooden ceilings and stone floors, are complemented by more fine views of the sea and the mountains. But Danae is also very comfortable with a very high standard of modern amenities.

Outside a swimming pool and barbecue with a covered pergola for alfresco dining, allow full enjoyment of the rural setting. Beaches at Maleme or Platanias are less than 10 minutes away by car while the many beauties and pleasures of Chania town are only a 20 minutes drive.
